The timing for this drill is a little different than yesterdays. I block with my lead arm (a full beat) and then I use the same arm again (another full beat) to perform a second block. At this point, I use my rear arm to check (a half beat). Only now do I execute a counter attack (another full beat).
The result is a different rhythm: 1, 1, ½ , 1. I only check those strikes which are heavy, ponderous and relatively slow.
