Block/ Check/ Counter

This defense works only against a heavy powerful punch.

I make a strong but quick block to redirect the punch.

Then I use my other hand to ‘check’ the punch (hold temporarily in place).

Only as I am checking this heavy blow do I counter with my first arm.
