I actually execute this somewhat differently than how I learned it (originally).
I start with my arm at a ninety degree angle to my attacker.
I bend my arm into the strike.
I make contact with the inside of the wrist.
I recover to a ‘High Guard’ position
These changes are neither good nor bad; they are simply my way of using this very powerful technique.
