Today I turn yesterday’s combination into a defensive drill against a roundhouse kick to the solar plexus.
I execute a floating block against the kick and as he steps back, I follow…
Like yesterday, after the block, I ‘crossover’ as I snap out the backfist.
I literally step slightly behind my lead leg with my rear leg as I strike.
If all has gone well, I am now in a good position to spin my ‘Swinging Backfist’.
After I have landed I make it a point to recover back out.
