Like yesterday; I start in a forward bow with my cane in my lead arm at punching distance.
Unlike yesterday, this block covers my torso against a punch to my body.
I grip my cane in the middle (the seventh grip).
This time I execute a mantis block and return the cane to my hip (as shown).
This allows me to follow up with a second counter.
Only then do I use my other arm to counter punch.
I follow the punch with a forehand strike with the cane and reset.
As I have said; the entire drill is as much about moving the cane around as it is about conflict.
