Rising Block then Counterpunch

(Please Note: This drill is used against a punch to the face.

An overhand attack is dealt with differently.)


I start with my Lead fist across my body (as shown).

My Rear Fist is the same as last night.

This creates an ‘L’ shape that I can use to draw my attackers punch.

I block up with my lead arm as shown.

There is a slight pause before I counter with my rear fist.
