Reverse Image Side Kick Defense 3rd Variation

http://youtu.be/Fe4a8WoKKqE

Defender and Attacker face each other at kicking range. Both lead with their left legs.

The Attacker slides in and shoots his left leg as a Side Kick into the Defender’s Lower Torso and follows with a strong Lead Backfist to the head.

The Defender steps back (his rear leg first) slightly. As he withdraws, he blocks down and back with his Lead Arm in a parrying motion that redirects the kick to the side. He follows this up with a rear arm Outside Palm Block against the backfist.

Unlike yesterday, the Defender does not shuffle forward. He is close enough to use is lead arm to punches low then high while covering /guarding with his rear hand.

At this point he withdraws.

In the last three defenses, it is the distance of the counterattack takes changes. It is the same defense and even the same counter. However, the full step, short step or no step that changes in order to maintain the optimum distance for the defender.

Without prejudice
